Description
Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix ‘Glacier’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Glacier’, is a branching species with vigorous shoots, and was one of the first variegated ivy varieties to be widely distributed.
The medium-sized leaf is mottled green and grey with a white border. The leaf has 3 to 5 slightly pointed lobes.
It is a great ground cover, but also a good climber. Fairly tolerant of dry conditions, it can be exposed to the sun without quickly becoming full-grown.
This variety received the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in 1993.
