It is not demanding in terms of soil type: chalky soil, neutral soil or acidic soil are all suitable (unlike common ivy). <em>Hedera helix<\/em>). Unlike other perennials or climbers, it has the advantage of staying green and beautiful all year round. Hiding an unsightly wall, forming hedges to protect privacy, covering the ground under trees, including fruit trees, dressing up the wall of a facade - almost anything is possible with this type of plant. If you're planning to plant an ivy hedge, you'll need to install a wire mesh to support it.
