        Ivy in bonsai - Training ?<\/span><\/h2>

        Some ivy trees lend themselves perfectly to bonsai training. For training techniques, let's draw on the experience of Daniel Puiloube, author of Les Bonsa\u00ef et Jardins Miniatures :<\/p>

        Keep a stem until it is 10-12 cm long and looks woody. Then tie it up to keep it upright and start treating the side shoots by pinching as you would any bonsai. Keep three side shoots, pinch them at 3 eyes when they have already reached 7-10 cm in length, and pinch back any shoots that appear at 2 or 3 eyes. To give them a real tree-like appearance, they need to undergo an artificial winter of 1 to 2 months (storage at +5 to 10\u00b0C if possible), otherwise they will look a little soft. Clean up excess twigs two or three times a year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
