Algerian ivy, Hedera algeriensis<\/em> \u2018Bowles ox Heart\u2019<\/strong>, is a broad-leaved ivy with slightly undulating margins.<\/p>

The leaf blade generally has 3 to 5 lobes and is a dull medium green. It can sometimes be unlobed. This variety has beautiful winter colours.<\/p>

It is a vigorous, climbing or ground-covering variety.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This cultivar is named after EA Bowles, an English horticulturist, who in his book \u00abMy Garden in Autumn and Winter\u00bb mentions an ivy called \u2018Bullock's Heart Ivy\u2019 forming a large mass with huge leaves. A surviving specimen was found in his garden in Enfield, Great Britain, in the 1980s.<\/p>

Recent analyses indicate that it could be a hybrid between Hedera algeriensis<\/em> and Hedera hibernica<\/em>.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
