Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix<\/em> \u2018Plattensee\u2019<\/strong>, is an ivy collected in the wild and entrusted to the famous collector Ingobert Heieck at the Neubourg monastery in Germany.<\/p>

The leaves are dark green, with 3 shallow or cordate lobes. The veins are beautifully veined with silver, creating an attractive contrast.<\/p>

A beautiful natural ivy for ground cover, it is also an excellent climber.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Brother Ingobert Heieck received this \u00abwild\u00bb ivy from K.H. Jurgl, owner of the nursery of the same name in Cologne, Germany. He had collected the ivy while on holiday in Hungary at Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. Ingobert Heieck named it \u2018Plattensee\u2019, the German word for Lake Balaton.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
