Lo spazio tra due nodi consecutivi \u00e8 chiamato nodo.\u2019<strong>nodo.<\/strong><\/p><p>La distanza tra i nodi varia notevolmente tra le specie e le cultivar. La distanza tra i nodi \u00e8 quindi spesso una caratteristica distintiva delle variet\u00e0.<\/p><p>L'edera con internodi corti \u00e8 compatta e ben coperta di foglie. Spesso formano fitte stuoie. Al contrario, l'edera con internodi lunghi ha foglie pi\u00f9 rade su steli molto pi\u00f9 lunghi.
